Hyderabad: A minor girl who came to the Secunderabad railway station to board a train went missing, creating a stir on Tuesday.
The 16-year-old girl had reached the railway station along with her family members to board a train to her native place in Bihar when the incident occurred.
As per available information, while her family members were waiting, the girl, who went to buy a water bottle at a nearby food stall on the platform, went missing. Her family members, who realised she did not return for a long time, searched for her in the surroundings but could not trace her.
Based on a complaint by the family members, the Gopalpuram police have booked a kidnap case and are investigating. It is learnt that the police teams, after examining the CCTV footage in the vicinity, found the girl leaving from Platform No 5 towards Alpha Hotel located outside the railway station.
Efforts are on to trace her at the earliest.
