Hyderabad: A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a man from her neighbourhood in Vanasthalipuram, police said on Friday. The 13-year-old girl, a Class VIII student from a private school, stays with her parents who are construction workers. According to the police, the girl was returning home from a nearby shop around 8 pm on Thursday when the suspect, allegedly in an inebriated condition, forcibly took her on his bike to an undisclosed location and raped her.
Her parents, who realised she was missing, approached the Vanasthalipuram police and lodged a complaint. While the police team was searching, the suspect abandoned the victim near Vanasthalipuram Complex on Friday morning. Based on a complaint from her mother, a case was booked. Police suspect the involvement of more persons.
