Hyderabad: A ten-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by an auto-rickshaw driver at his house in Falaknuma on Saturday night.
According to the police, the victim was going home alone when the suspect identified as Asghar, told the girl that her father sent some articles and called her inside the house asking her to collect it. When the girl went inside the house, he closed the door and sexually assaulted the victim.
However, when the girl raised an alarm the man left her and tried to run away. The local people gathered near the house, caught hold of the auto driver and thrashed him before handing him over to the Falaknuma police.
Based on a complaint made by the victim’s mother, a case is registered by the police and investigation going on.
