Hyderabad: Within eight hours of two minor girls being reported missing, the Neredmet police traced them in Warangal and handed them over to their parents on Monday.
The teenage girls, close friends and Class 10 students of a private school, had left their houses at 4:30 am without informing anyone. Their family members who woke up in the morning and realised that the girls were missing, approached the Neredmet police and lodged a complaint at 8 am. The police booked a missing case and a special team was formed. Officials examined CCTV footage and found the girls proceeding towards Safilguda railway station.
All railway station authorities in the surroundings were alerted and the girls were soon traced to Kazipet Railway Station in Warangal. The special team then reached the spot and traced them by 2 pm. They were brought back to Hyderabad and handed over to their parents.
