Hyderabad: The mystery surrounding the disappearance of a paddy trader from Nagarkurnool district ended in a murder case with the discovery of his body in a wooded area near Kashireddyguda in Farooqnagar, Shadnagar, on the city outskirts on Thursday.
The victim, identified as Md Hasan (36) from Manganur village, had been missing since June 22. He was engaged in the paddy procurement business along with his associates, P Aravind and V Shivaji.
According to the police, before leaving home, Hasan had informed his wife that he was travelling to Hyderabad with his business partners. Later that evening, he called her from near the Raikal toll plaza, saying he was on his way back home. Soon afterwards, both his mobile phones were switched off, prompting his family to lodge a missing person complaint.
Acting on the last location shared by Hasan, his relatives and local residents conducted a search on Thursday evening and found his body concealed in thick bushes near a private venture.
