Miyapur police arrest two motorcycle theft gang members, recover 21 bikes
Miyapur police arrested two members of a four-person motorcycle theft gang and recovered 21 stolen bikes worth Rs 80 lakh. The gang targeted residential and commercial areas across Hyderabad, while two other members remain at large.

Hyderabad: The Miyapur police arrested two members of a four-member gang of motorcycle thieves on Monday and recovered 21 bikes worth Rs 80 lakh from them.
The arrested persons are Nalam Durga Srinivas Sai Kiran (23), a resident of Rajamahendravaram, AP, and Gottapu Leela Sai (21). Two others, Puramsetti Vijay and Geddam Praveen, are absconding.
According to the four persons who formed a gang and came to the city from their native place. During the night, they moved around in colonies in the city and committed theft of bikes parked in front of residential houses, apartments and shops by breaking the lock of the vehicle, said DCP Madhapur, Riti Raj.
The gang was arrested following a complaint of theft of a motorcycle at Miyapur. Based on the leads obtained from the spot of the vehicle theft, the police identified and traced the gang members.
The gang is involved in theft cases reported at Miyapur, RC Puram, Ameenpur, Gachibowli, Chandanagar and KPHB police station areas.
