MLA Shankar Naik to gift Rs 50K each to 25 double bedroom beneficiaries

Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Errabelli Dayakar Rao appreciated Shankar Naik for announcing the cash gifts to the beneficiaries of his thanda and appealed to those who are in higher positions to chip in for the development of their native villages. “I would like to repay the debt I owe to my birth place. My parents - Kevla Naik and Baju Bhai - will soon hand over the money to the beneficiaries,” the MLA added.

Mahabubabad: TRS MLA from Mahabubabad Banoth Shankar Naik has announced a gift of Rs 50,000 each to the 25 beneficiaries of the double bedroom scheme at his native place, Balaji Thanda of Rayaparthy mandal in the district.

He made the announcement during the Bhoomi Pooja conducted by the Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Errabelli Dayakar Rao for the construction of the 2BHK housesa t a cost of Rs 157 crore at the thanda on Monday. “I would like to repay the debt I owe to my birth place. My parents – Kevla Naik and Baju Bhai – will soon hand over the money to the beneficiaries,” the MLA added.

The two-time MLA holds a B.Tech degree from the then Regional Engineering College (REC), (now NIT) Warangal in 1985-1990, did MBA from Kakatiya University and worked as an engineer with the irrigation department.  Shankar Naik thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and Dayakar Rao for sanctioning 25 2BHK houses to his native place.

Dayakar Rao appreciated Shankar Naik for announcing the cash gifts to the beneficiaries of his thanda and appealed to those who are in higher positions to chip in for the development of their native villages.
