Warangal Urban: Government Chief Whip and Warangal West MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar distributed gift packs containing clothes to poor Muslims at a programme organised at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the State government had allotted a total of 6500 gift packs to the poor Muslims under 35 mosques in the Warangal West constituency on the occasion of the Ramzan festivities. “The State government is giving priority to all festivals. Each major festival is celebrated as official festival,” he said and added that each mosque in his constituency was allotted 150 gift packs.
Stating that the TRS government is according high priority to education, he said that a total of 252 minority residential schools and 38 minority colleges in the State and added that six minority residential schools and three minority colleges had been set up in his constituency alone following the initiative by IT and MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao. Vinay Bhaskar urged the Muslims to celebrate the festivities following the COVID-19 protocol in view of the sudden spike in the cases in the second wave.
