Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan Kumar has lodged a formal complaint with the Cyber Crime Station (CCS) in Gachibowli against a malicious and orchestrated social media campaign against former Minister and senior MLA T Harish Rao. He demanded immediate action against those behind the false campaign, reiterating that Harish Rao’s public standing could not be shaken by such cheap tricks.

Addressing the media after filing the complaint, Sravan said ever since the BRS silver jubilee celebrations public meeting, the Congress leadership was rattled by party chief K Chandrashekhar Rao’s speech and the public response. He said Revanth Reddy and his Ministers were spreading misinformation against BRS leaders out of fear and political insecurity.

He charged the Congress with circulating fake paper clippings and using paid social media networks to defame Harish Rao. “Unable to confront him directly, they are resorting to cowardly acts. Their campaign is not only unethical but also a legally punishable offence,” he said.

He warned that the BRS would pursue legal recourse to counter the defamatory content. “The Chief Minister preaches action against cybercrime. Will he now act against his own party’s paid pages? Will the DGP take action or continue harassing BRS cadres instead?” he questioned.

Meanwhile, Harish Rao warned to initiate legal action unless the Congress under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy stopped its fake propaganda. He said failing to deliver its promises, the Congress leaders were resorting to diversion and mudslinging. “We will expose their lies and take punitive legal action. Shame,” he remarked.
