Karimnagar: Police registered a case against Karimnagar Local Authorities Constituency independent candidate and former Mayor S Ravinder Singh for violating model code of conduct. Addressing a press conference in Karimnagar on November 27, Ravinder Singh advised electors to demand Rs 10 lakh from LAC political parties’ candidates to exercise their franchise in the MLC elections. He also advised them to support him by accepting Re 1 only.
Moreover, the message was also circulated on various social media platforms. Considering it as violation of model code od conduct, Karimnagar rural RDO and nodal officer G Sampath on Sunday lodged a complaint with Karimnagar one two police. Based on the complaint, they registered the case against Ravinder Singh under model code violation, CI Natesh said.
