Warangal Urban: MLC Kadiyam Srihari on Tuesday blasted Eatala Rajender for joining BJP which he said was a ‘communal party’, only to protect his ‘ill-gotten assets’.

Addressing a press meet here, Srihari said, “It is ridiculous that Eatala, who claims to have been a Left activist during his college days, joined the Rightist BJP. Rajender, who pledged his self-respect at the foot of the BJP high command, was humiliated by the BJP party high command.”

The MLC sought to know why he had not joined the BJP in the presence of party national president JP Nadda. “Rajender joined the BJP not for self-respect, but to protect his assets amassed illegally,” he said, adding that the former Minister seems to have joined the fundamentalist BJP only to ‘target’ Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao or shield himself from cases pertaining to his illegal lands with the support of the BJP.

“Until yesterday, Rajender, who criticised the BJP over black laws and vaccinations, joined the very same party. It is a shameful for him to join the party,” Srihari said, adding that the Statehood movement led by Chandrashekhar Rao had given a political  life to Rajender. “His criticism on the TRS is not correct,” he said and observed that Rajender availing Rythu Bandhu assistance of Rs 26 lakhs was ridiculous.

“Rajender criticised the Rythu Bandhu scheme after he was expelled from the Cabinet, but his family accepted  the financial assistance from the government,” he said. adding that BJP and Congress cannot do anything for Telangana, and only Chandrashekhar Rao, the ‘Bahubali’, would develop the State.
