MLC Vani Devi’s car damaged in accident near Assembly

Hyderabad: In a freak mishap, the car of newly elected MLC Vani Devi was damaged after her personal security officer rammed the vehicle into the gate of the State Assembly complex on Thursday morning.

According to the police, the MLC had arrived at the Assembly complex in morning and got down from the vehicle at the alighting point. “Along with the driver, the MLC went into the legislative building when the Personal Security Officer (PSO) Bhanu Prakash tried to take the vehicle to the parking lot. However he lost control and crashed into the gate,” a senior police official.

No person was injured in the incident though the vehicle was badly damaged.

Meanwhile Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar placed the PSO under suspension.
