MLRIT organises ‘Synergy of Minds’ talk session

Hyderabad: The MLR Institute of Technology EWB-IUCEE-IEEE student branch on Tuesday organised a talk session on the theme ‘Synergy of Minds: Engineering, Medicine and the Power of Standards’.
The event held to commemorate IEEE Day 2025 explored how interdisciplinary collaboration and global standardisation are shaping the future of innovation.
The session featured talks by Sitaram Tadepalli, IEEE Chair for Industry Relations, Hyderabad Section, and Atun Roy Choudhary, Technical Head at Unison 3X and a TEDx speaker.
Both speakers highlighted the growing intersection between engineering and medical sciences, emphasising how IEEE standards play a pivotal role in ensuring safety, interoperability, and ethical development across technologies.
Attendees engaged in meaningful discussions on emerging trends such as AI-driven diagnostics, biomedical devices, and telemedicine. Students were encouraged to think beyond disciplinary boundaries and consider the broader impact of their work on society.
Marri Rajashekar asserted that in an era of rapid technological advancement and complex global challenges, collaboration between engineers and doctors has become crucial. Chairman Marri Laxman Reddy, principal K Srinivas Rao, students and faculty, among others, also participated.
