Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Sirpur (T) MLA Koneru Konappa inaugurated a mobile bio-toilet at Kaghaznagar on Friday. He was joined by municipal chairperson Saddam Hussain.
Konappa said that the government was giving paramount importance to the sanitation and plantation activities. He stated that the toilets would be available at crowded places and for the convenience of women. He informed that he was striving hard for bettering basic amenities and beautifying the Kaghazngar town. He wanted the people to utilise the mobile toilets which were equipped with a room meant for changing dress for women and a toilet each.
Saddam said that funds were being granted to municipalities every month and the government intends to ensure sufficient toilets in towns based on their population. He stated that similar facilities were under progress in other towns and the urban civic bodies were improved in many aspects, mentioned in Pattana Pragati programme.
Later, the MLA distributed new dresses to sanitation workers and also dined along with them.
