Karimnagar: Municipal Corporation of Karimnagar has launched a mobile SHE toilet in Karimnagar town for the convenience of women. Purchasing a bus from TSRTC, a bio-toilet was developed with modern facilities by spending Rs 13 lakh.

Besides a western toilet, two normal toilets, a diaper changing room, baby feeding room, rest room and canteen were also arranged. 1 KW solar power system, 800 liter capacity bio digester, 2,000 liter capacity water tank are also arranged. 1 KW capacity solar power system will help to run lights and fans for 12 hours.

Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao along with Collector K Shashanka, Commissioner of Police VB Kamalasan Reddy, MCK Commissioner Valluru Kranthi inaugurated a mobile toilet at Telangana chowk on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor informed that based on the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s instructions, they developed a mobile SHE toilet for the convenience of the women, who could utilize it at crowded areas.

Besides the baby care center, diaper changing cabin and canteen were also arranged, he informed and said corporation was taking up various programmes to provide basic facilities and better services to the people.

Kranthi said mobile toilet would tour in crowded areas of the town for the convenience of the ladies.
