Mock drill conducted at Biocon in Pashamylaram Industrial Area
A mock drill was conducted at Biocon Limited in Sangareddy district to test the preparedness of disaster response teams and district authorities. Officials from multiple departments participated and stressed the importance of industrial safety measures and fire safety equipment during emergencies.
Sangareddy: To test the preparedness of the district administration, particularly the disaster response teams, a mock drill was conducted at Biocon Limited in the Pashamylaram Industrial Area on Monday. Additional Collector R Pandu and Additional Superintendent of Police B Chaitanya Reddy observed the mock drill carried out collectively by the National Disaster Response Force, State Disaster Response Force, fire department and various other departments.
The teams exhibited their preparedness to minimise the loss of human life and property during emergencies in industries. The coordinated efforts of the teams drew appreciation from both industry representatives and officials. Multiple fire tenders, ambulances, doctors, police, revenue and staff from other departments participated in the mock drill. Officials also educated the industry management on the precautionary measures to be taken. The officials underlined the importance of equipping industries with fire safety equipment.
