Modipalli Deekshitha wins A2H Open Rapid chess tournament

National under-13 champion Modipalli Deekshitha of Velocity Chess Academy, Hyderabad, won the A2H Open Rapid prize money chess tournament with a perfect six points. Srujan Keerthan and Sasi Hasini finished second and third with five points each

Hyderabad: National Under-13 champion Modipalli Deekshitha of Velocity Chess Academy, Hyderabad, won the A2H Open Rapid prize money chess tournament with six points from six rounds.

Srujan Keerthan and Sasi Hasini, who tied with five points each, were placed second and third respectively by virtue of the tie-break rule.


Final placings: 1. Modipalli Deekshitha(6 pts,) 2. S Srujan Keerthan, 3. C Sasi Hasini (5 each), 4. T Gowtham (4.5), 5. Akhil Repalle, 6. P Achyuth Sai Madhav, 7. G V Sriniavasa Rao, 8. D Arkodipto, 9. A Aashish Reddy and 10. Y Rohith (4 points each).
