Hyderabad: Apart from light drizzle at isolated places, Hyderabad has not received any rain in the last one week.
Albeit the cloudy sky on Sunday, the city witnessed no showers and with no rain, the temperature in the city increased slightly. The maximum temperature on Saturday was 32.1 degree Celsius, whereas the minimum temperature recorded on Sunday morning was 21.4 degree Celsius.
Hyderabad has received 406.8 mm rainfall since the start of the monsoon season, against the normal 288.4 mm – which is 41.1 per cent in excess. Overall, Telangana has also received 45 per cent excess rain since June 1.
The forecast by Telangana State Development Planning Society looks at city receiving light to moderate showers at isolated places for the next two days. The maximum temperature in the city during the period is expected to be between 31 degree and 33 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature will be in the range of 21 degree to 23 degree Celsius.
A few districts also recorded only light to moderate rains on Sunday with Rajanna Sircilla, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Mulugu and Jagtial witnessing under 5 mm rainfall. Garimellapadu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, received the maximum rainfall of 5.8 mm.
