Mancherial: Six villages were disconnected from the mainstream area with the Erravagu swelling due to rains in upstream areas at Lambadithanda village in Nennal mandal on Tuesday.
Manneguda, Konampet, Kurmagudem, Karji, Jangalpet, and surrounding villages were cut off from the rest of the world with the stream flooding. A temporary road built across the stream was washed away, affecting connectivity to the villages.
Villagers urged officials to take steps to construct a high-level bridge across the stream to ensure connectivity to their villages in the monsoon. They regretted that their villages would be isolated whenever the region registered heavy rains. They stated that they were forced to buy essential commodities in advance.
