Hyderabad: If harsh restrictions are not imposed on business operations more than 65 per cent of the employers from Hyderabad are keen on hiring talent in the current quarter. The city has also recorded growth in intent to hire, with 12 per cent rise in intent to hire over the last quarter.

TeamLease Services, in its latest research showed that out of the 21 sectors reviewed, nearly all the sectors have exhibited positive intent to hire.


However, Information Technology (56 per cent of the employers), Educational Services (49 per cent of the employers), Logistics (45 per cent of the employers), FMCG (40 per cent of the employers), Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals (37 per cent of the employers), Power & Energy (30 per cent of the employers) are the key sectors driving the intent to hire in Hyderabad.

From a profile point of view, systems reliability engineer, financial analyst, credit manager, mobile / app developer, robotics engineer are the top roles, which are the most sought after in the current quarter in the city.

Commenting on the findings, Rituparna Chakraborty, co-founder, TeamLease Services, said, “Though IT and technology-linked firms are dominating the job creation eco-system in the city, other sectors are not that far behind. In fact, out of the 21 sectors reviewed, nearly six sectors have indicated a growth rate of more than 19 per cent compared to the previous quarter – indicating the employment scenario is on recovery mode across sectors in the city.”

The TeamLease Employment Outlook Report is a forward-looking tool for human resource professionals, policy and decision makers and reflecting hiring sentiment across 14 cities and 21 sectors in India.

The survey covers 829 small, medium, and large companies across the 21 sectors across India. The coverage is spread across four geographical areas [Metros, Tier-1, Tier-2/3 and Rural], four hierarchical levels [Entry, Junior, Mid and Senior Levels] and seven functional areas [Sales, Marketing, Information Technology, Engineering, Office Services, Human Resources, Blue Collar].
