Mother and daughter die by suicide in Siddipet village
A woman and her disabled daughter died by suicide in Gouraram village, Siddipet, after consuming poison on Thursday night. The duo felt they were burdening their caregiver, who was ill. Police registered a case and are investigating
Siddipet: A woman, who was ailing from a serious sickness, and her handicapped daughter died by suicide by consuming pesticide at Gouraram village in Wargal mandal on Friday.
Police said that Veldurthi Bharathamma (65) and her daughter Kavitha (32) were found dead on Friday morning.
Bharathamma had married Kavitha to Manjunath. Manjunath, who used to look after Bharathamma and Kavitha along with their two children, has been suffering from jaundice.
Feeling that they were becoming a burden to Manjunath, the mother and daughter duo were believed to have decided to end their lives when Manjunath went to Hyderabad to get some medicine for jaundice.
They consumed some unidentified poison on Thursday night. They died in their bed. The bodies were taken to the government hospital in Gajwel for postmortem. A case was registered and the probe was on.
