Mother, son killed in car crash in Suryapet
The victims were Doddapaneni Swarajya Lakshmi (60) and her son Samba Shiva Ram (40), both native of Thandavarga village
Suryapet: A mother and her son died in a road accident on National Highway 65 at Munagala in Suryapet district on Sunday. The victims were Doddapaneni Swarajya Lakshmi (60) and her son Samba Shiva Ram (40), both native of Thandavarga village of Mangalgiri mandal of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh.
Shiva Ram’s wife Shanthi was also injured in the mishap, while their daughter Jashwitha escaped unhurt.
According to the police, the incident occurred when the car, which was driven by Samba Shiva Ram, lost control and turned turtle after hitting a road divider at Munagala. Swarajya Lakshmi died on the spot and Samba Shiva lost life while undergoing treatment in government hospital at Kodad.
Samba Shiva Ram was employee of Mylavaram branch of SBI and residing in Vijayawada along with his family members. They met with the accident while returning to Vijayawada in a car after attending a function at Hyderabad.
