Hyderabad: A motorist died on the spot after the bike he was driving went out of control and crashed into a road median at Chinthalkunta in Vanasthalipuram late on Thursday night.
The victim was identified as Basawa Raj (35), a resident of Sai Ram Colony in Uppal, working at a car showroom in Vanasthalipuram. Police said the incident occurred when Basawa Raj was proceeding from Vanasthalipuram to his house via LB Nagar after work. When he reached near the Chinthalkunta signal at the underpass, he lost control of the bike and crashed into the road median.
He fell on the road and though he was wearing a helmet, suffered grievous injuries on his head, and died on the spot. The Vanasthalipuram police are investigating.
