Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Movement of a tiger in the forests Dabha village in Wankidi mandal triggered panic among villagers on Sunday and Monday.
Officials of the forest department said that a tiger from neighbouring Maharashtra strayed into the forest of Wankidi mandal a few days back. They stated that steps were being taken to ensure smooth passage for the tiger. They requested villagers to be cautious and urged them to avoid sudden confrontation with it.
Residents of Dhaba said that the tiger tried to attack a herd of cattle grazing in a volley near the village. However, the shepherd managed to rescue the cattle by raising an alarm. Dwellers of Dhaba, Kore Dobra, Bandakasa, Savathi, Anthapur, Gondagaon and many other forest fringe villages were living in the grip of fear, following movement of the tiger.
