Hyderabad: Sailesh Kolanu returns with HIT: The Third Case, and once again, he doesn’t miss the mark. This time, the film throws you straight into a blood-soaked maze of mystery, dark web crimes, and a deeply disturbed protagonist—Arjun Sarkar, played fiercely by Nani.

From the very first frame, the film promises intensity—and for the most part, it delivers.

The story begins with a sharp contrast: while one officer, Dhanya Mohan, is honored for bravery, another—Arjun Sarkar—finds himself behind bars. How did a ruthless and sharp officer of the Homicide Intervention Team (HIT) end up in prison? The film unravels that mystery through a layered narrative that keeps you guessing.

The first half sets the stage with intriguing investigations and intense moments that build tension. Arjun’s complex character is slowly revealed, and the film stays tight, mysterious, and gripping without giving away too much. His personal life, internal battles, and moral dilemmas add emotional depth.

The second half ventures into the terrifying world of the dark web—where a syndicate called CTK runs a twisted game with real victims. Though the pacing dips slightly here, the emotional impact and disturbing revelations make it a compelling watch. The narrative connects all the dots in a satisfying way, never leaving anything without reason or closure.

Nani is the heart and soul of the film. As Arjun Sarkar, he breathes fire into every scene. From raw aggression to emotional breakdowns, he nails every shade of the character. It’s a one-man show, and Nani doesn’t disappoint for a second. Srinidhi Shetty, known for her role in KGF, has limited screen time, but her presence is impactful with a surprising arc. Komalee Prasad, Surya Srinivas, Rao Ramesh, and Samuthirakani offer solid support, fitting seamlessly into the intense narrative.

Technically, the film is a standout. Sanu John Varghese’s cinematography adds a gritty tone that enhances the tension. Editor Karthika Srinivas keeps the film sharp, and Mickey J Meyer’s score blends romance, thrill, and darkness effortlessly.

And just when you think it’s over, the makers tease The Fourth Case, revealing none other than Kollywood star Karthi Shivakumar as the next lead—leaving fans excited for what’s next in the HIT universe.

Final Verdict:
HIT: The Third Case is a solid crime thriller that dares to explore darker, deeper themes. Despite a slightly slower second half, it delivers enough thrills, mystery, cameos, and emotional beats to keep you hooked. It’s not for the faint-hearted—but if you enjoy intense storytelling with purpose, this one’s a must-watch.

Don’t miss it—unless you’re squeamish.
