Moving car catches fire in Hyderabad
No casualties were reported as those traveling in it managed to get out of the car before the flames spread
Hyderabad: A moving car suddenly caught fire on Tank Bund here on Friday. No casualties were reported as those traveling in it managed to get out of the car before the flames spread.
The car, driven by Vijaya Kumar along with his wife Chandrakala, was proceeding from the Liberty Junction side towards RP Road when the incident occurred. On seeing smoke from the engine, the couple stopped the car and got out. Motorists passing by alerted the fire department.
A fire engine rushed to the spot and the fire was doused immediately. A short circuit in the engine is suspected to have led to the fire.
