MP Santosh Kumar participates in plantation drive on Independence Day
As a part of the campaign, 75 trees with 20 different varieties having medicinal benefits were planted.

Hyderabad: Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar participated in a plantation drive organised as part of Independence Day at National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Hyderabad campus on Sunday.
The national flag was hoisted by NIRDPR Director General G Narendra Kumar.
As a part of the campaign, 75 trees with 20 different varieties having medicinal benefits were planted and Dr Nagendra Kumar made a small presentation on the different activities carried out by the institute for strengthening Rural India and particularly Telangana.
Santosh Kumar presented the book ‘Vriksha Vedam’ to the DG, NIRDPR, which features collection of ‘Shlokas’ from Indian literature and highlights the importance of forests and trees. He congratulated the institute fraternity for the clean and green campus. The programme was conducted under the supervision of Lt Col Ashutosh Kumar, Registrar & Director(Administration).
