Mulugu tahsildar caught by ACB while accepting bribe
ACB officials caught Govindaraopet tahsildar and joint sub-registrar N Srujan Kumar while accepting Rs 14,000 from a farmer at his office in Mulugu district. The bribe was allegedly demanded to resolve a land dispute and register the property in family members' names.

Mulugu: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught Govindaraopet tahsildar and joint sub-registrar in the district on Friday while he was accepting a bribe from a farmer. According to officials, the accused, N Srujan Kumar, demanded a bribe of Rs 14,000 to resolve a dispute between the farmer and his son involving 1.10 acres of land and register the land in the farmer’s family members’ names.
Following a complaint by the farmer, ACB officials conducted a raid at the tahsildar’s office and apprehended Srujan Kumar while he was accepting the bribe amount. The tainted money was seized. The accused officer would be produced before the special judge for SPE and ACB court in Warangal, ACB officials said.
