Municipal worker killed in hit-and-run incident in Khammam
A 55-year-old municipal worker, Mamidala Nagamma, was killed after being hit by two cars while cleaning the Khammam-Bonakal road in Khammam city on Thursday. The drivers fled the scene, prompting municipal workers to stage a protest seeking justice.

Khammam: In a hit-and-run case, a municipal worker was killed after she was hit by two cars on the Khammam-Bonakal road in Khammam city on Thursday.
According to sources, the deceased, Mamidala Nagamma (55), was cleaning the road in the Jammibanda area when the incident took place. The woman was said to have been thrown over the divider after she was hit by a speeding car and was again hit by another car after she fell on the other side of the road.
As a result, she died on the spot. The drivers of both cars fled the scene. After the incident, municipal workers staged a protest demanding justice for Nagamma’s family and seeking the arrest and punishment of the car drivers.
