Murder of tribal youth sparks tension in border with Bastar

Mulugu: A tribal youth, Vasam Vijay, 28, from Kotha Tekulagudem village in the Peruru Police Station limits was brutally murdered by unidentified assailants on Tuesday night.
He was attacked with an axe leading to his instant death. The village is located close to the Naxalite affected forest pocket on the inter-state border with Bastar in Chhattisgarh. Police reached the village from Perur and Venkatapuram to take stock of the situation in the area.
They registered a case and sent the body for post mortem. Further investigation is on.
