Siddipet: The number of murder cases reported in the district nearly doubled in 2024 compared to 2023 as the district reported 25 murders against 13 last year. Commissioner of Police Dr B Anuradha released the annual crime report on Friday. The total number of cases reported in the district went up by 5 per cent during the year as 6,233 cases were reported in 2024 compared to 5,931 cases in 2023. Road accidents and deaths also increased as 283 persons died in 655 accidents this year compared to 260 deaths in 540 cases last year. The crime against women cases increased from 537 to 562 from last year.
