Musheerabad man arrested for attempted murder over old rivalry

The Musheerabad police arrested a man for allegedly attacking and attempting to murder another person over an old rivalry. The victim suffered severe injuries and is undergoing treatment, while police have booked the accused and two others.

Hyderabad: The Musheerabad police on Monday arrested a man for allegedly attacking and attempting to kill a person, allegedly due to an old rivalry.

According to the police, the suspect Kokku Stephen, a resident of Bakaram, Musheerabad, on Sunday attacked a man, Surya Anil, with a sharp blade, leading to severe injuries to the victim. “Stephen bore a grudge against Anil due to some previous rivalry. On the pretext of discussion, he went to the house of Anil and attacked him,” said the Musheerabad police.

Anil was rushed to hospital and is undergoing treatment after admission. The police basing on a complaint made by Anil, registered a case against Stephen and two others.
