Hyderabad: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the South Indian Cultural Association (SICA) conducted a music programme in Shilparamam, Hitec City. The event titled A Music Treat by Women was organised in association with Sujanaranjani, Sampradaya and Hope Advertising Private Limited.
All the main artists at the event were women and in some cases accompanists were also women. The programme was conducted in three sessions with the first session featuring concerts from 9.45 am to 3.10 pm and the second session of concerts from 5 pm to 8.30 pm. This was followed by a felicitation to the artists and presentation of mementoes by chief guests Chevella MP Dr Ranjith Reddy, G Seetha Reddy.
Three achievers award was also presented to Dr Maneesha Ramdass for her service during Covid-19, Dr Mridula Aswin for completing her doctorate (Phd) in Sanskrit, and Meghana Kaluva for successfully passing the Civil Service Examinations in the first attempt.
