Mustangs and KPHB advance in Basketball League
Mustangs and KPHB registered convincing victories in the Annual League Basketball Championship for G M Sampath Kumar Trophy at YMCA Secunderabad, defeating Little Flower Old Boys and Stadium BB Club to progress from Level-III
Hyderabad: Mustangs and KPHB scored convincing wins over Little Flower Old Boys (64-55) and Stadium BB Club (47-36) respectively to qualify from Level-III to Level-II in the Annual League Basketball Championship for G M Sampath Kumar Trophy being held at YMCA Secunderabad.
Mustangs rode on the scoring spree of Mannay (14), Vinod (14), Vemu (14) and Avi (13) to score a convincing win, while for the Losers Samridh (20), Kaushik (13) and Tharun (13) played well.
In the other Match, KPHB played a fast-paced game and took a 16-8 lead at the end of the first Quarter through Srikanth (24 Points) and Sai (6 Points).
Stadium Club, aided with two three-pointers, scored 14 Points but KPHB too scored 12 Points as KPHB led 28-22 at Half-Time.
After a change of ends, Stadium Club tried hard for a comeback but were unable to pierce the tight Defense of KPHB. KPHB finally won the Match 47-36.
