Corona! Corona! Corona! It has been almost a year that the world that was turned upside down by this notorious virus, which brought in a new normal in all fields of life including our school life. However, our School Management and dedicated staff of teachers at Gitjanjali did not leave any stone unturned to make sure that our on-line classes are as interesting as our classes on the campus.
As in a regular school, our schedule between studies and co-curricular activities was rightly balanced. On one side where we had regular studies with assignments and projects, we also had classes on art, yoga, library which helped us strike a balance and maintain a healthy body and mind. All our teachers ensured and made our on-line learning world a very happening place with competitions like Poem Recitation, One-Minute Speech, Make Your Ganesha,Design Your Halloween Costume, Design your T-Shirts,and Exhibitions. With all these activities there was never a dull moment in the virtual world.
Several Workshops “Blissful Bytes (Cooking)”, “English Ladder (Creative Writing)”, Meerkats Master Builder Coding for Gaming were arranged for us to pursue our hobbies. Teachers in my school always encouraged us to explore new things, this helped me pursue and take my liking for book reading to the next level. I attended a three-week workshop and a reading challenge by British Council and now started writing book reviews too.
As I look back, I am surprised at the number of Avatars that I had taken during the Pandemic. I had been a Hariyanvi girl, a Solider, a Freedom Fighter, an Artisan, a Zombie, a Designer, a Chef and a Book Review Writer. Now, I sometimes wonder, will there be any phase in my life where I can take so many Avatars?
My heartfelt gratitude to all my teachers for making the virtual world so beautiful and happening for us.
