Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a late-night argument between two brothers allegedly over a liquor glass turned fatal as one of them was pushed by the other from the terrace of a building at Nacharam on Sankranti night.

According to information available, Stifford Rohan Sayers (30) and his younger brother Leonard Lionel Sayers (28) were consuming liquor on the terrace of their three-storey residential building around midnight.

During the course of drinking, a minor dispute reportedly escalated into a heated argument. In a moment of anger, Leonard allegedly pushed Stifford, resulting in his sudden fall from the terrace onto the ground.

Hearing the commotion, the family members and neighbours rushed to the spot and shifted the critically injured man to a nearby private hospital, where Stifford succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Based on a complaint from the family, the Nacharam police registered a case and reportedly arrested Leonard Lionel Sayers in connection with the incident. Officials said further investigation was on to ascertain the exact sequence of events.
