Naga Chaitanya’s Vrushakarma set for December 4 release

Hyderabad: The makers of director Karthik Dandu’s highly anticipated mythological thriller Vrushakarma, starring Naga Chaitanya in the lead, have announced that the film will hit screens on December 4 this year.
Naga Chaitanya took to X to make the announcement, writing, “A mythic spectacle unfolds #VrushaKarma on 04.12.26.”
The makers had earlier revealed that actor Jayaram plays a character named Professor Ranganath in the film and unveiled his first look.
Using the film’s official social media handle, the makers released Jayaram’s first-look poster as Professor Ranganath earlier this year. They wrote, “His obsession was not a flaw. It was a compass. Presenting one of India’s finest performers @actorjayaram_official garu as ‘Professor Ranganath’ from #Vrushakarma. #VrushakarmaGlimpse on MARCH 5th, 2026 at 12:12 PM.”
The makers had announced the film’s title on Naga Chaitanya’s birthday last year. They also unveiled his first-look poster from Vrushakarma on the occasion.
The poster featured Naga Chaitanya in a raw and fierce avatar, flaunting his muscular physique and sporting an intense expression.
Sharing the first-look poster on Instagram, Naga Chaitanya had written, “#vrushakarma it is for #nc24 (sic).”
The Karthik Dandu directorial is being backed on a massive scale by producers BVSN Prasad and Sukumar under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra LLP (SVCC) and Sukumar Writings, respectively.
Meenakshi Chaudhary will be seen opposite Naga Chaitanya in the film, which will also feature Laapataa Ladies actor Sparsh Srivastava in a crucial role.
The film also boasts a strong technical team. Director Sukumar has penned the story, while Neil D Cunha is handling cinematography and Ajaneesh Loknath is composing the music.
National Award winner Navin Nooli is handling the editing, while art direction is by Sri Nagendra Tangala, who previously worked on Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel.
