Nalgonda: Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy on Saturday stated that voting for Congress party in the by-elections to Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly constituency, would be nothing short of voting for the TRS. He said there was no difference between both the parties.
Speaking during his roadshow held at Peadda Devulapally of Thripuraram mandal in Nagarjuna Sagar constituency during his elections campaign, Kishan Reddy said if the Congress candidate is voted to victory, he would later join the TRS. Hence, voting to Congress or TRS would make no difference. He termed Congress leaders as B-team of the ruling TRS party.
He demanded the Congress candidate K Jana Reddy to explain how many Congress leaders, who were elected as MLAs by the people, were continuing their loyalty to their party after the elections. He said the Congress party was becoming non-existent in the State politics and termed Jana Reddy as an outdated political leader.
Stating that family dynasty of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi was prevailing in the State, the Union Minister said only the Chief Minister and his family members were benefitted from formation of Telangana State, but not the common people. He held the TRS government responsible for the increasing debts of the State. He said people of Thripuraram mandal were still getting supply of contaminated drinking water, and the by-elections should bring a new change within the Assembly constituency to solve all issues being faced by the people. He called up on the people to teach a lesson to both Congress and TRS in the by-polls, by voting for BJP.
Exuding his confidence that BJP would come into power in Telangana State in near future, Kishan Reddy said there were no power cuts and shortage of fertilisers in the country under the Narendra Modi regime. The Centre has been extending financial assistance to farmers and Self Help Group (SHG) women, he said. He asked the voters to elect BJP candidate Dr Ravi in by-elections to Nagarjuna Sagar constituency with huge majority of the votes.
BJP district president Kandanala Sridhar Reddy and several leaders also participated in the campaign.
