Amaravati:  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday directed officials to identify people from the state who are stranded in Nepal following floods and take steps to move them to safe locations.

The government is tracking affected residents and maintaining close contact with the Centre.

“Officials have been directed to identify Andhra Pradesh residents who may be stranded in Nepal following the floods and take all necessary steps to move them to safe locations,” said Naidu in an official press release.

The CM has assigned the Real Time Governance System (RTGS) to continuously monitor the ground situation and provide assistance to pilgrims affected by the floods.

Meanwhile, a dedicated control room has been set up at AP Bhavan in Delhi to coordinate information and assistance related to people from Andhra Pradesh affected by the situation in Nepal.

People can reach the AP Bhavan control room through landline no. 011-23384016 and 011-23387089. The Whatsapp number is 9059824101, the government said.
