Naidu rejects DSC-2025 paper leak allegations, says recruitment was clean

Kuppam (Andhra Pradesh): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said there were no question paper leaks or corruption in the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process during his government, and accused the YSRCP of unnecessarily maligning the recruitment exercise.

“People who got jobs in the DSC-2025 examination managed to do so with their sheer hard work. There was no corruption in the notification and also no paper (question) leak. That is my track record,” the Chief Minister said while addressing a public meeting in Kuppam.

He said the recruited teachers had rejected the allegations and referred to their demonstrations at Kondareddy Buruju in Kurnool, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam against the YSRCP over the issue.

If YSRCP legislators attended Assembly sessions, the government would show the proof, Naidu said.

The Chief Minister also alleged that the state had witnessed devastation between 2019 and 2024. He alleged that the Tirupati laddu, a consecrated sweet, was adulterated during the previous YSRCP regime.

“They had (the YSRCP government) called Amaravati a graveyard, but now they are unable to tolerate its development,” he said, calling on people to defeat the YSRCP in the forthcoming local body elections.

Reflecting on Kuppam constituency, Naidu said plans were being made to turn it into a model constituency.

Through the Handri-Neeva canal, he said water had been brought to Kuppam and 133 ponds had been filled. The government was also planning to build reservoirs in the Yamiganipalli and Manapalli regions and link 550 minor irrigation tanks through lift irrigation and pipelines, he added.

Naidu said severe drought-like conditions were prevailing in the state due to El Nino. Considering the low water levels in reservoirs, he said available water should be utilised carefully.

Earlier, Naidu participated in several development programmes in Kuppam.

He laid the foundation for the local RDO and ASP offices, among other projects, an official release said. The two offices are being built at a cost of Rs 10 crore, it said.

He inaugurated a waste treatment plant and a material recovery centre built at a cost of Rs 3.3 crore and laid the foundation for development works worth Rs 38 crore in Kuppam municipality.

Naidu also inaugurated 15 MW PM-KUSUM projects for agriculture, among other initiatives.

“When I last visited (Kuppam) two months ago, we laid the foundation for projects worth Rs 7,939 crore. Now, we laid the foundation for government works worth Rs 38 crore in Kuppam Municipality,” he said, adding that foundations were laid for projects worth Rs 289 crore in total on Monday.

Naidu said the Dadar-Puducherry train would halt at Kuppam Railway Station from Monday, adding that national highways would link the town with Bengaluru, Chennai and other places.

He said he had requested the Railway Minister for a broad-gauge line connecting Kuppam with Chittoor and promised to extend the connectivity to Krishnapatnam Port for transporting goods manufactured in Kuppam.

“Very soon, we will set up an airport in Kuppam. Overall, we will transform this constituency into SwarnaKuppam (golden Kuppam),” he said, listing “eradicating poverty” among the government’s other initiatives.

Naidu represents the Kuppam constituency in the Assembly.
