Nalgonda: Nakrekal MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah on Thursday said that Nakrekal municipality would be developed as a model municipality in the State.
He was speaking after Congress leader Rachakonda Sravan and 500 followers joined the TRS at a programme in Nakrekal in the district.
Lingaiah said the State government had upgraded Nakrekal major grama panchayat into a municipality, which will help in getting additional funds for development. “Nakrekal town has witnessed significant development during the TRS rule,” he said.
He vowed to develop Nakrekal into a model municipality with the help of Energy Minister G Jagdish Reddy. Houses would be constructed for all eligible families in the municipality. New ration cards would also be issued to the eligible applicants soon. In addition to this, pending Aasara pension applications would also be cleared within two months, he said, adding that he would work for the welfare of all sections of people in the Assembly constituency.
The MLA urged the people to support TRS in the municipal elections for the development of the town. He asked the people not to believe the false propaganda taken up by some forces to misguide them in the elections.
