Nalgonda: BRS leaders observe Gandhi death anniversary highlighting unfulfilled promises of Congress
They accused the Congress leadership of deceiving the people with false assurances and praised the BRS government for its efforts in providing better governance and support to the public

Nalgonda: BRS leaders across the district paid rich tributes to Mahatma Gandhi observing his death anniversary on Thursday and in a symbolic gesture, submitted petitions highlighting the unfulfilled promises of the Congress government. Former Minister and Suryapet MLA G Jagadish Reddy, along with BRS party Nalgonda district president and former Devarakonda MLA Ramavath Ravindra Kumar, paid homage to Bapuji and placed memoranda before his statues.
They accused the Congress leadership of deceiving the people with false assurances and praised the BRS government for its efforts in providing better governance and support to the public. The events saw participation from several local leaders and emphasized the growing dissatisfaction with the Congress party’s rule.
In Devarkonda, the BRS leaders denounced the failure of the government in fulfilling its 420 promises. They mentioned that the BRS government, under K Chandrashekhar Rao had issued new ration cards and increased the rice allocation per person from 4 kg to 6 kg, benefiting the poor. They also pointed out that the Congress government has failed to provide the promised 2 lakh government jobs to the youth and has not fulfilled the loan waiver promises made to farmers.
The event saw the participation of several local leaders, including former district Rythu Bandhu president Chinta Reddy Srinivas Reddy, former AMC chairmen Dhanavath Chittibabu Naik and Bairam Sampath, senior BRS party leaders Yadavelli Srinivas Reddy, Jonnalagadda Ranga Reddy, Md. Mohsin Ali, Md. Yusuf and others.
In Miryalaguda, on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary, MLC M C Kotireddy submitted a petition at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, protesting against the Congress government’s deceptive rule for 420 days. He criticized the Congress party for making 420 false promises and failing to implement any of them, leading to a loss of public support. He praised the BRS government for ensuring justice for all sections of society and accused the Congress government of relying on police force to maintain control.
