Nalgonda: Decapitated head found at Mahankali temple

Nalgonda: In a horrific incident, the decapitated head of a man was found by locals at the feet of the idol of Goddess Mahankali at Mettu Mahankali temple at Gollapalli village of Chinthapally mandal of Nalgonda district on Monday morning.
The gruesome sight created a stir among the residents. The identity of the victim is yet to be ascertained but he is stated to be around 35 years of age. Rumours are doing the rounds that it could be a case of human sacrifice. Police, however, suspect that the person may have been murdered and the head placed at the feet of the goddess’ feet to mislead police.
Sources said there was a clash between labourers from Bihar working in a poultry farm at Kurmedu near the place of incident a few days ago over extra marital affair.
