Nalgonda: Bhikshapati, District Educational Officer (DEO) of Nalgonda, found himself at the centre of a legal storm after his first wife filed a formal complaint against him with the police on Thursday. She alleged that Bhikshapati was cohabiting with another woman while being still legally married to her.
According to the complaint, Bhikshapati’s first wife claims that despite their ongoing marriage, he was living with another woman, with whom he had three children. The first wife, who has been engaged in a prolonged legal battle with the DEO, staged a protest outside his residence, holding up their wedding photos in proof of their marriage.
“I still continue to be his wife. He has no right to live with someone else while we are not divorced. It’s a betrayal,” she told reporters during the protest.
