Nalgonda Fisheries Officer caught taking Rs 20,000 bribe

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Thursday caught Nalgonda District Fisheries Officer M Charitha Reddy red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.
According to the ACB, the officer had demanded the amount from a man to give approval for enlisting new members in a fisheries cooperative society. Following a complaint, the ACB registered a case and laid a trap, catching the officer red-handed while she accepted the bribe.
Charitha Reddy was arrested and produced before a court in Hyderabad. The case is under investigation.
