Nalgonda: Traffic came to a grinding halt for 2 km on National Highway No. 65 at Gundrampally of Chityal mandal in Nalgonda on Saturday morning after a speeding lorry lost control and turned turtle on the road.
Chityal Sub-Inspector Nagaraju said that a lorry, which was carrying plastic plates, turned turtle due to over speeding and fell on the road, disrupting the vehicular movement on one of the lanes on the Vijayawada-Hyderabad national highway. The lorry was going towards Hyderabad from Vijayawada.
Learning about the incident, the police rushed to the spot and removed the lorry from the road using a crane. The vehicular movement came to normalcy on NH No 65 within 30 minutes due to the coordinated efforts of the police.
