Nalgonda: Nalgonda police cracked the maximum number of missing person cases to date in the State, Additional Superintendent of Police Ch Satish said on Tuesday.
Speaking to the media here, he said a special team with two Sub-Inspectors and five police constables was formed 30 days back to trace crack missing cases including those dating back to 2014. “We used technical support instead of traditional investigation methods to trace missing persons and achieved success. Based on the Aadhar numbers of the missing persons, police identified the location of the missing persons who used it as proof of identity for various things including getting SIM cards,” he added.
Of the total 78 missing cases, police traced 73 persons at different places in the country and helped them reunite with their families. A boy, who went missing in 2014, was also traced by the police a week ago. Of the remaining five missing persons, the locations of two persons have been identified and they would be brought to the district soon, he said. “When we trace the missing persons and reunite them with their families, happiness and a festive atmosphere prevailed in their houses,” he added.
