Nalgonda: Sanitation staff abstaining from work warned of action
Municipal Chairman Mandadi Saidi Reddy conducted surprise visits to several wards on Monday midnight to check whether sanitation workers were properly doing their job
Nalgonda: Municipal Chairman of Nalgonda Mandadi Saidi Reddy on Tuesday warned that action would be taken against sanitation workers and sanitation inspectors if they showed negligence in carrying out their duties related to cleanliness in the town.
Saidi Reddy was speaking after conducting surprise visits to several wards on Monday midnight to check whether sanitation workers were properly doing their job of cleaning streets and open drainage systems.
He also verified the attendance register of the sanitation workers and checked whether all the tractors used for garbage collection were on the field. Wastes in tractors should be covered with a tarpaulin while shifting them to the dump-yard, he said, and warned that sanitation workers who frequently abstain from work would be removed from the job.
He underlined the need to maintain cleanliness in the town in these times of pandemic. The municipal staff should also spray bleaching powder in select places.
