Nalgonda: The district SP, Sharath Chandra Pawar, on Friday gave a stern warning to rowdy sheeters and suspect sheeters not to indulge in anti-social activities. Police organised counselling sessions for nearly 40 such individuals with a criminal record in the district. Speaking at the event, Pawar urged the participants to maintain peace and security, advising them not to disrupt law and order.

He highlighted that the activities of rowdy sheeters and suspect sheeters within the district are under constant police surveillance. Engaging in illegal activities, such as financial disputes or land settlements, and perpetrating violence or holding out threats against ordinary citizens will not be tolerated, he said. The Superintendent of Police added that no one can escape the long arm of the law, pointing out that several individuals have already been punished for their offences. He said special monitoring teams have been deployed to track the movements of every individual in the district.

Pawar made it clear that those involved in anti-social activities will face immediate action under the provisions of the Preventive Detention Act (PD Act), with no leniency shown. He assured them that police support will always be available to those who mend their ways and lead a peaceful life. “Abandon your old habits, transform into good citizens, avoid crimes, and contribute to societal development,” the SP encouraged the group. The counselling session was attended by Nalgonda Deputy Superintendent of Police Shivaram Reddy and other senior officials.
