Nalgonda: Tahsildar caught taking Rs 2 lakh bribe in Chityal mandal
A senior revenue official and his aide were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau for allegedly accepting a Rs 2 lakh bribe to fast-track land mutation and survey processes.

Nalgonda: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Nalgonda Range unit officials apprehended a senior revenue official and his associate on Thursday for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh to expedite land-related processes in Chityal mandal.
The accused, Guguloth Krishna, Tahsildar of Chityal Mandal, was caught red-handed while accepting the payment through his intermediary, Gattu Ramesh, a private individual. Both were arrested and produced before the IInd Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases at Nampally, Hyderabad, for further proceedings.
The bribe was sought from a complainant in exchange for official favours, including completing the mutation process for agricultural land in Survey No. 172 of Ch Gundrampali village and submitting a detailed survey report for agricultural land in Survey No. 167 of Gundrampali village to the Sub-Inspector of Chityal Police Station. The properties in question belong to Ratna Housing Land Estates Private Limited, according to an ACB release.
Further investigation is underway.
Maharashtra man held with Rs 19.60 lakh unaccounted cash
In other news, Mancherial police seized unaccounted cash of Rs 19.60 lakh from a man hailing from Maharashtra at an interstate check-post at Parupalli village in Kotapalli mandal on Thursday.
Police said the man, a native of Gadchiroli district, was caught carrying the money without valid documents during a vehicle check at the post. The seized cash was later handed over to the Static Surveillance Team for further action.
